We don't record calls or phone numbers, callers don't have to give their name, and no one will know that they called or what they talked about. We never use call display or call tracing and we never call callers back.
Professional counsellors drawn from backgrounds such as child protection, children's mental health services, and crisis intervention can help with many different problems if the caller thinks he or she needs to call, or if the caller is worried about someone.
Referrals throughout Canada from the first national computer database of children's services (currently contains 29,000 listings). We constantly maintain our database and use only the most recent, up to date versions of community service directories. We have more than 200 Social Services Directories (for example, The Calgary Community Services Directory and the Directory of Community Services for Northern Alberta), and are still continuing to expand. In addition, there are approximately 2,700 cities and towns across Canada who we have listed on our database. Counsellors have quick and accurate access to these community resources which they can use to refer callers to needed services. Common referrals are to the police, hospitals, and Child Protection Services.
