Mission/Vision
JUDES (the Just Us! Development and Education Society) develops public awareness of fair trade and responsible purchasing. JUDES builds solidarity between consumers and small producers across the hemispheres with respect to social, environmental, and economic justice.
What does the organization do?
JUDES focuses on three key program areas:
1) Developing classroom resources for students and schools, including the Coffee Comes Alive DVD featuring the voices of fair trade coffee farmers and the interactive Cocoa Trading Game.

JUDES focuses on three key program areas:
1) Developing classroom resources for students and schools, including the Coffee Comes Alive DVD featuring the voices of fair trade coffee farmers and the interactive Cocoa Trading Game.
2) Strengthening the link between producers and consumers by organizing producer visits, Fair Trade community visits (Mexico), film screenings, public presentations, campaigns, youth internships, and celebrating National Fair Trade Weeks (every May).
3) Empowering consumers to make responsible purchasing decisions everyday by developing resources & research, supporting the Fair Trade Towns program, and hosting the unique Fair Trade Museum in Grand Pré, NS.

There are a few key ways that youth can participate:
1)Contact JUDES for information, resources, and ideas to learn more about Fair Trade & ethical consumption and the benefits for producers and consumers.
2)Contact JUDES for volunteer opportunities – we are always looking for keen individuals to help with graphic design, organizing events (e.g. film screenings) or one of the many other volunteer tasks.
3)Contact JUDES for resources and ideas for how to spread the word in your community about Fair Trade issues.
4)Consider joining us in Mexico for a community-based tourism experience to visit a Fair Trade and organic coffee producing community.
