The ancient Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, lies in the heart of Central and Eastern Europe.
Poland's perspective on the continent of Europe is reflected in the study tracks of our European Studies Programme: one track looks west to the European Union, the other track looks east to the changes in post-communist Europe. A new study track will open in 2004/05 to cover Holocaust Studies with a focus on Central Europe.
The Centre for European Studies offers both - a fully accredited one-year MA Programme and the opportunity to take a semester of Undergraduate Study Abroad.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2004/05 academic year.
Due to the increase in value of the euro relative to local currency costs, the 2004/05 euro-denominated tuition fee has been reduced.

The Centre for European Studies, established in 1993, is an interdisciplinary unit of the Jagiellonian University.
We offer Masters degrees in European Studies in both English and Polish.
A Masters in Central and Eastern European Studies is available in English only. Individual study is also available at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
Our European Training Centre provides non-degree training courses for local civil servants and businesspeople in preparation for EU ascension. We also carry out a number of independent research and consulting projects.
We sponsor conferences, public lectures and discussions, including the European Meeting series with Polish politicians. We publish a quarterly journal, European Forum, which contains the best articles written by students and researchers at the Centre.
Poland's future will be largely determined by its standards in education and the sciences.
Our mission is to increase understanding of the changes in European civilisation as a whole for Polish and foreign students. The EU, especially its expansion to include Poland and its neighbours, is a topic of particular interest.
