I Y L F(Ghana) is an initiative that seeks to provide productive and sustainable livelihoods for young people and it strives to become an organization of “for youth” initiatives, a resource of opportunities, and a platform for expressions on the issue of the empowerment of young people. IYLF is a movement that embraces the idea that young people have the potential and sprit to be powerful agents of transformation globally.
It is a non-for-profit, non-governmental sustainable development organization that organization and community based groups to generate solutions to the challenges faced in achieving sustainable livelihood and development especially on youth.

IYLF (Ghana) initiates various development projects and programs in such field as Human rights, Adolescent reproductive health, including HIV/AIDS, organize awareness campaign on environmental protection, globalization and good governance. We also organize project proposal uniting workshops and support a wide range of community income generating activities such an batik, Tie and Dye production, wood lot establishment and computer literacy training for out of school youth.
Youth employment, drug abuse, neglect, terrorism, teenage pregnancy are some of the social concerns we address through our for a s and workshops. We believe that, the youth can cause a change in the world of they are well “linked” to such opportunities..
We also aim at forming international youth network, share Innovative ideas, generate solutions to world terrorism, youth unemployment, HIV/AIDS pandemic and develop programs on sustainable development projects.
In the near future, we will like to initiate a global fund in collaboration with other well meaning “for youth’ NGO’S and related bodies, for youth projects.
IYLF seeks to raise youths that are deeply and spiritually committed to the welfare of themselves, their families, the community, nation and the world at large.
In collaboration with the youth employment Network (YEN-Ghana) we have successfully held a national consultative meeting which brought together government officials, diplomats, NGOS students and the general public to seriously deliberate on youth welfare including youth unemployment, drug abuse and AIDS.
We have intensified our AIDS awareness campaign to the rural areas and used the Abstinence.

Due to our constant addressing of youth unemployment with many related bodies, the government has embarked on a major youth training programme nationwide. The youth are being trained at various institutions to equip the and to be provided with jobs.
We seek to go on with the little that we have achieved and hope that our target or aim of reaching out to many youths will be achieved based on our action plan for the next five (5) years .
