Each year nearly 20,000 young people are served by our YMCA. Working locally, nationally, and internationally, we bring people together in local YMCAs, summer camps, schools and in the homes of local families. We take fear, ignorance and geographic distance and transform them into understanding, connection and a sense of global community. We do it every day, all over the world, and our program participants today will be world leaders tomorrow.

What does the organization do?
It allows those over the age of 18, who are involved in their local YMCA and community, to volunteer for international YMCA programs around the world.Volunteers typically work up to 3 months and in exchange for the volunteer service, room and board is provided .
