The organisation invites schools from each Country in the World to take part in a Global project by submitting their wishes for Peace as a celebration of the Olympics 2012.Young people from every culture are being inspired by this project.The idea of a Quilt,which begins as an individual activity and then becomes a representation of a collective voice, felt a powerful and practical way to achieve our aims. It`s story is told in and through the universal language of visual art making it`s meaning accessible to ALL.International PeaceQuilt promotes peacemaking by raising awareness of the issues for different countries expressed in their wishes. We hoped that with this activity young people would be given the opportunity to reflect on their feelings about Peace and how it can be achieved,be able to understand and empathise with those in situations of conflict creating greater cohesion and then promote PEACE within their local communities and further afield including competitors, World Leaders, and Governments.

The Opportunities for Youth... Every Youth involved will know that they are part of a life changing project which will extend into every Country of the World. In this way Peace Education will reach the Grassroots of all Countries. It is envisioned that Every Country will also create their very own PeaceQuilt giving a very powerful message of Peace. Children are creating lovely art work in this project, some of the pieces would grace any gallery. There will be an opportunity for Youths to become leaders of this project in their respective Countries.
