Past and present experience shows that many violations of human rights take place because one group of people feels superior others. This often results in discrimination, - The decision to exclude, restrict, marginalize or humiliate people because of their race, color, religious beliefs, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or other characteristics. Such discrimination is a denial of human dignity and of equal rights for those who are discriminated against. Discrimination undermines the key concept on which the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is founded: that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.

One of the core issues on the agenda of ICHR is to comply with the United Nations charter in achieving the Millennium Development Goals with international cooperation to promote and encourage respect for human rights and fundamental freedom globally without any inequality as to cast, creed, sex, language or religion.
