IMAT, the Interactive Multimedia Arts & Technologies Association, was formed in January, 1995, the result of a merger of the 10-year old Canadian Computer Graphics Association (CCGA) and the International Multimedia Development Association (IMDA). IMAT is this country's largest, and fastest growing, non-profit, member-supported association dedicated to fostering the growth, promotion and international recognition of a world-class new media industry in Canada.
IMAT sees its role as a primary professional association for the new media content production industry in Canada. We serve as a networking group, actively support initiatives and seeking partnerships with other organizations towards the goal of creating a national new media industry with a focus upon a "global village" marketplace for our products.
