 Mission/Vision
In Their Shoes intends on raising awareness of issues related to poverty, war and genocide to adolescents who may not be aware of these global realities by teaching an understanding of global citizenship and the persuance of universal human rights.
What does the organization do?
Get adolescents (primarily ages 13-17) interested in poverty, war and genocide prevention with a motivating and engaging presentation that puts the student in the shoes of someone living in a situation of poverty, war and genocide.

Establish a link between university and high school students through our presentations, fundraising group and monthly lectures.
Set-up a website that offers an accessible way to learn about non-governmental organizations, potential work internships, volunteer positions abroad and other mechanisms of awareness.

Opportunities for Youth
Set-up a fundraising organization to be staffed by volunteer high school students and managed by university student volunteers. Group will meet during the month to organize fundraisers and attend a monthly lecture on a topic related to human rights.
University students can get involved in...

Set-up a fundraising organization to be staffed by volunteer high school students and managed by university student volunteers. Group will meet during the month to organize fundraisers and attend a monthly lecture on a topic related to human rights.
University students can get involved in the presentations and outreach activites as well as in the executive team of In Their Shoes.
High School students may get involved after watching the presentation, in different contests and activities related to conflict, poverty, genocide and war. These contests and activities will be organized by the In Their Shoes executive team or any partner organization to In Their Shoes Canada.
