The students of Lorax Environmental Club believe that present economic development should be directed by a sustainable philosophy to support a more just and peaceful human future.
The students of Lorax believe that by improving our community at levels ranging from individual to institutional to international, we can inspire each other and others to take care of our planet.
Hailing from diverse backgrounds, we are united in our goal of promoting environmental awareness and action at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy.

+ Help manage the campus-wide recycling program along with Green Team (faculty and staff group)
+ Meet with administration about ways to make IMSA more sustainable
+ Organize the Energy Conservation Competition for IMSA's annual Clash of the Halls
+ Help plan IMSA's annual Earth Week (formerly Earth Day, which began in 2006)
+ Host Junkyard Wars at Earth Week
+ Participate in Sierra Club-sponsored cleanups in Aurora
+ Attend the Midwest Student Clean Energy Conference
