Objectives
We at hOw are dedicated to helping our world by promoting concepts such as unity, multi-cultural dialogue, eco-knowledge and eco-friendly practices, self-reliance, mutual understanding and support. A detailed, point by point list of our aims can be found here:
1. Develop and set up 12 community centres, each focused on a different practice and with a distinct role in catering for the needs of the community.
2. Establish hOw Unity, a network of partners and collaborators, be they humanitarian groups, educational institutions, corporate or governmental representatives around the world working towards the creation of an integrated platform to exchange services and knowledge that will help to make a difference for those in need.
3. Purchase land and farms large enough to accommodate the hOw Farm and the 11 affiliated hOw centres, including the atelier, office, school, restaurant, travel/hostel, bank and health centre and provide raw materials, food and shelter for the members.
4. Open and establish the hOw Market, low-cost organic and eco-friendly markets where both the local and the international communities can benefit from fair trade.
5. Create, build and maintain the hOw Atelier, a studio where artists associated with hOw can present, develop and implement their concepts whilst using recycled materials.
6. Open the hOw Gastro, a fully organic restaurant serving international dishes made with local, fresh, exclusively organic products from the hOw Farm.
7. Support and sustain hOw Health, a low-cost centre where hOw community members as well as members from the surrounding areas can benefit from specialist advice at affordable prices as well as learn about the possibilities offered by alternative medicine.
8. Devise the hOw School as a multi-media resource centre where trainees and hOw members and workers can access and/or exchange information about their work, sustainable development, employment market and so on.
9. Promote professional training integrated with different education systems, the world of work, science and technology which develop the skills needed for a productive life.
10. Set up the hOw Bank as an institution to manage the donations hOw receives, creating incentive programs for small businesses, providing low rates loans and thus preparing the community to be autonomous and well versed in the processes encountered in the business world.
11. Launch the hOw Travel Centre to offer low cost, green lodging to travellers as well as travel support and advice.
12. Implement hOw News as a means of continually publicising the work carried out by hOw to governments, the media and society and integrate this with the activities of hOw Events.
13. Maintain hOw Office as a focal point of the community, preserving liaisons with affiliated charities and partners and providing specialised support and information in all of the areas where the community operates.
14. Promote the general development of mankind by means of study, work and values and foster an understanding of the individual’s position in society and in the world.
15. Develop youth education projects which focus on physical, psychological, intellectual and social growth and which complement the work of the family and the community.
16. Raise awareness amongst children, young people and adults of the impact that human beings have on the planet through programmes focusing on the protection of the environment.
17. Devise projects which value the responsible extraction, transformation and use of natural resources.
18. Raise awareness of factors which affect good health by means of preventative health programs.
19. Create, support and develop sexual education programmes which encourage the responsible enjoyment of sexuality.
20. Promote activities which encourage individual and collective action for the promotion, maintenance and recovery of health.
21. Cultivate caring and supportive attitudes towards people with illnesses or disabilities.
22. Support and elaborate cultural programmes involving children, young people, adults and families which develop creativity, affection, sociability and cultural exchange.
23. Create activities which promote the strengthening of family ties, solidarity and mutual tolerance which underpin life in society.
24. Develop and maintain a virtual library of books, articles, texts, magazines and information on subjects which contribute towards the social and cultural growth of mankind

About us
hOw stands for help Our world and is a humanitarian initiative to uplift the disadvantaged and help them rediscover the colours of life. It is an effort to raise awareness and involve them in many activity areas, helping them to live in this world with increased self-esteem and confidence.
help Our world (hOw) was inspired by the lack of integration and collaboration that characterises contemporary charitable work and philanthropic initiatives. We intend to work as a vehicle that brings as many humanitarian groups together and by joining efforts, make a real difference to more communities and more people who need our help and support.
We at help Our world (hOw) have vowed to help those in need by reaching out to them and by creating a network of charities and partnerships that have a positive effect on serving multiple humanitarian causes. (Do you want to know hOw you can help? Read here…)
Mission
hOw Brazil takes a “community-based approach” to fulfil its mission. Starting with the concept of “for people, by people, with people,” we endeavour to develop self-reliant, eco-friendly communities and help them rediscover the colours and joys of life whilst strengthening their self-confidence. We encourage recognition, appreciation and multi-cultural and multi-ethnic dialogue, promote education and on-the-job training and empower each individual by creating opportunities to become actively involved within the hOw community. In the vision area you can find our motives and more information about why we pursue this approach.
