Greenpeace exists because this fragile earth deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It needs change. It needs actions - not words.
Greenpeace is an independent organisation campaigning to ensure a just, peaceful, sustainable environment for future generations. We began in Canada in 1971 and today have a presence in more than 40 countries with 2.4 million supporters worldwide. Greenpeace Australia was founded in 1977 and today we have more than 75,000 supporters.

What does the organization do?
We campaign in six areas of environmental concern:
1) the Green Olympics
2) ocean ecology
3) climate change
4) nuclear threat
5) toxic pollution
6) forests
Internationally we also tackle genetic engineering and ocean dumping.
