G.A.ME sponsors students to attend the R.E.B.E.L Youth Leadership Retreats. Since then, we have sponsored 20 students ages 13-18 and dedicated two educational, recreational, and tranquil weekends in Lake George, NY, Beallsville, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Most of our teenage enrollees have been attracted to our employment incentives which come via our partnership with Children’s Aid Society, Citizens Advice Bureau, and SoBRO (South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation). Students (14-19 years old) work at G.A.ME through the Department of Youth & Community Development’s (DYCD) SYEP program. The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) offers young people employment experience and a steady paycheck.
