The Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GYCA) works to empower young leaders with the skills, knowledge, resources and opportunities they need to scale up HIV and AIDS interventions amongst their peers.

GYCA is a youth-led international network of over 5000 young leaders fighting the spread of HIV and AIDS in more than 150 countries worldwide. GYCA is a program of TakingITGlobal with staff based in New York, USA, Accra, Ghana, and Toronto, Canada. GYCA is supported by UNFPA and UNAIDS.
GYCA was proposed by youth attendees of the XIV International AIDS Conference in Barcelona 2002 and XV International AIDS Conference in Bangkok 2004. Its work is guided by three priorities: networking and sharing of best practices; technical assistance and capacity building; and political advocacy. GYCA seeks to improve HIV and AIDS policies and programming geared toward young people by facilitating the inclusion of skilled young leaders in decision-making that affects our lives.
