Global Xchange builds mutual respect and understanding between young people, and helps individuals and communities develop a global perspective and interact positively in a diverse world.

Global Xchange is an international volunteering exchange programme which gives young people the opportunity to learn more about themselves and each other, to work for positive change, and to bring benefits to local communities in the UK and overseas.

Global Xchange is an international volunteering exchange programme which gives young people the opportunity to learn more about themselves and each other, to work for positive change, and to bring benefits to local communities in the UK and overseas.

Volunteers join a team of up to 18 young people, with equal numbers from the UK and from an overseas partner country. Each exchange is supported by two project supervisors, one from the UK and one from the overseas partner country.

Volunteer teams live in host communities for up to 3 months in the UK and up to 3 months in the partner country, living in host homes and working in the community in cross-cultural pairs. Educational activity days give the volunteers the opportunity to learn together and to reflect on their experience.

Global Xchange volunteers learn and gain experience from each other and from direct personal engagement in the community, as well as from informational education opportunities and acativity days. The impact of the programe also extends to the homes that host them, the community projects with which they work and the wider communities in which they live.

Global Xchange works with young people aged 18 - 25. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, provided they can demonstrate commitment to the programme and its aims.
