Global UR is an online, participatory Magazine. Global UR’s philosophy is that the world is full of issues and challenges that can’t be solved by single countries or isolated groups of people; but require the building of global communities of practice. By global communities of practice, we mean people from different countries working together to share knowledge, information, problems and concerns. As they engage in dialogue with one another they break down particular place-specific points of view, and build global perspectives.

Each issue of Global UR will focus on an important world challenge; we will present the deep questions and hard facts surrounding this issue; and we will present perspectives from experts and organizations in different parts of the world trying to develop sustainable solutions; then we will offer opportunities for our users to comment on our source material; offer their own views; engage in advocacy campaigns and develop action projects.
