To help create a worldwide community of young people of confidence and commitment- leaders and change agents at the local and global levels-who have skills and confidence to identify problems and define solutions, and who support one another and build on their shared experience via technology. The GSL Summer Institute establishes the bonds between future leaders and hones their skills. The GSLNET and personal network sustains their growth. Most importantly, participants discover their own capacity for growth and learn that confidence; commitment, competence and competitiveness are theirs for the taking

Provide them with an educational experience that prepares them to take leadership positions in their local communities
And support their ongoing success through a global leadership network.
Trainings are held every summer for 3-6 weeks at the University of Dar es Salaam Tanzania, Africa and at Manhattanville College in New York.

Participating as a student for the 3-6 week trainings will avails students opportunity to interact with students from different countries and learn from each other.
Former students have the opportunity of participating in the program as interns and undertake trainings to help in coordination of the program in their home countries.
During the program each student is expected to develop an Action Plan to be implemented when they return home. This requirement provides students an opportunity to make a difference in their local communities and initiate Leadership.
