Founded in 2007 and led by former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, the Global Humanitarian Forum brings together leaders from government, civil society, international organizations, academia, business and other sectors of society to help solve humanitarian challenges. Located in Geneva, the Forum’s initial focus is on the human face of climate change and how to alleviate the damaging effects of global warming, especially on the world’s most vulnerable populations and communities.

GHF opens avenues for intergenerational debate, provide occasions for youth to pose challenging questions and present their views to high-level personalities, and give young people the opportunity to engage in creative activities that allow for personal development and creative expression.
The Forum also hosts a major international conference every summer in Geneva for humanitarian leadership from a broad range of public, private and non-governmental fields.
