Global Action Peers (G.A.P) aims to create a youth network that will take its aspirations and vision to greater heights. Its short term aim is to provide an avenue for young people in Malaysia to engage in projects either at the local level, in communities or at the regional level in line with a global purpose.
We would like the young people in Malaysia to actively engage in supporting causes around the world that require immediate attention and urgent action.

We would like to take our network global enlisting the assistance, funding and support of international organizations so that we will be able to spread our wings further and soar higher for a higher purpose.

Global Action Peers (G.A.P) is the brainchild of Shireen Fernandez. Having a passion for engaging young people in global missions through local action, she resorted to setting up her own organization that incorporates everything she envisioned and imagined that youth participation should be and can achive. G.A.P initiates its own projects and campaigns that will better the lives of others through the contribution of young people.
G.A.P is open to all young people who are between the ages of 18-39. It also opens its doors to anybody and everybody, single or married, youth or not because it believes the fundamentals of changing the world, lending a helping hand, inspiring others and making the world a better place to live cannot be held ransom to age.
G.A.P assists in the Youth Employment Summit Campaign, Make Poverty History Campaign, MDGs Campaign and backs the efforts of TakingItGlobal and the Global Youth Action Network in any way it can.

Currently G.A.P has embarked on a mission to send aid to the street children of India, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The project entitled 'We Care' is part of Shireen's Action Project for the World Youth Congress in Stirling, Scotland and is backed by the British Council (Malaysia)
