 Mission/Vision
Our vision is to spread awareness of the lack of clean water abroad, as well as to give people in developing countries a method of cleaning water without costly replacements. We hope to have distributed 100 filters by the end of 2009.
What does the organization do?
Filters for Families Abroad has developed a simple filter to send to people abroad. We plan fundraisers to pay for the filters and educate people in our community about ways to use less water. Some future fundraisers/events might include concerts, dinners, or mini-fairs.
Opportunities for Youth
Since this is a youth-led group, we do all of the work which includes fundraising, marketing, distribution of filters, and to finish assembling the filters. We also plan on forming clubs in the local schools. Filters for Families Abroad also hopes to send a small amount of students to a...
