Fainu Association for Community Endeavours (FACE) is a non- governmental, non-profit making body formed to work for the common benefit of the community.rnThe society works closely with island community, government and other NGOs in various activities which benefit the community.rnThe main focus of the society is building capacity in areas related to the objectives of the society.rnrnOur members are assured of democratic governance where the executive committee is elected by members. FACE establishes a platform for dialogue between various stakeholders in issues related to youth. Education and awareness programs targeted at youth are intended to alleviate vulnerability.rnFACE encourages volunteerism and social work. Participation in decision making, evaluation and implementation of community policies are encouraged, thereby paving way for rural empowerment.rnBuilding an active youth is one of the most important aims of this society. Youth initiatives and establishment of sports and recreational facilities are therefore prioritised.
