EarthCorps strengthens communities, empowers youth and revitalizes habitats throughout the Puget Sound. Founded in 1993 with a mission to build global community through local environmental service, EarthCorps:

• Preserves and enhances natural places in Seattle neighborhoods as well as throughout King County and Western Washington.
• Implements 100,000 on-the-ground service hours annually on projects including salmon habitat restoration, invasive plant removal, native plantings, and hiking trail construction.
• Leads 10,000 youth and community volunteers at 300 events each year.
• Invests in youth by teaching young people how to steward the region’s natural places.
• Works closely with communities, giving residents the knowledge to keep their neighborhoods healthy long after EarthCorps’ work is done.
• Builds global community by training young adults from around the world.

EarthCorps offers a 6-month training course in Seattle, Washington, USA that brings together young representatives (18-25 years of age) of international organizations to learn the basic fundamentals of environmental restoration, community organizing, and youth empowerment.

EarthCorps offers a 6-month training course in Seattle, Washington, USA that brings together young representatives (18-25 years of age) of international organizations to learn the basic fundamentals of environmental restoration, community organizing, and youth empowerment.

EarthCorps training is ideal for any organization that works with:
• Community empowerment
• Erosion control
• Reforestation
• Ecotourism development
• Youth outreach
• Stream and costal resource management.

EARTHCORPS CHARGES NO FEES for its services and in fact supplies insurance, individual homestays, gear, and a monthly stipend to all international participants. EarthCorps provides additional support in acquiring US J-1 Trainee visas by providing letters of recommendation on behalf of EarthCorps program participants.
