DML is a non-profit organization founded by a group of young professional people from both Germany and Morocco. Our members are experienced in a variety of fields such as cultural youth exchange and development cooperation.
Developmental Cooperation in Morocco
The focus of our developmental cooperation in Morocco is the empowerment of local civil organizations. We will support small NGOs, especially those organizations whose main concern is the protection and empowerment of women, with capacity building measures so that they will be able to work more effectively. Such an initiative is not only important for these organizations but also for a functioning society, and as such, is furthermore a prerequisite of any developmental cooperation. A society is only able to bring about meaningful change through the collective efforts of small local organizations.

Therefore, the active involvement of the Moroccan society will be essential for successful development. The lack of know-how often limits the work of these organizations. Women's rights organizations in particular tend to be very restrained in their actions despite their great efforts. Simple training programs, which provide a basic introduction to the core functions of the organization, can, however, increase the range of this organization and help reach its potential.

We would like to contribute to this with a comprehensive local capacity building program. In a number of training programs, we will help various Moroccan organizations to improve their know-how, and we will teach them modern fundraising strategies and a more effective organizational management to facilitate their work.

Our office in Berlin collaborates closely with our international sections in Morocco. We cooperate with international governmental organizations and non-governmental organizations and organize cultural exchange projects with our international partners.

We speak Arabic, German, English, Spanish and French as we want to reach and communicate with everyone.

We offer a wide range of activities which help fulfill the goals of DMLs eV.

We offer help and advice for all immigrants who need assistance on a wide range of topics including:

Dealing with the authorities
Understanding and communicating with officials
Becoming a student
Filling out forms and applications such as for BAFOEG (Financial Aid), housing, university applications, housing vouchers, etc.
Referrals to other agencies and voluntary organizations who specialize in areas such as legal issues, including asylum applications.
Cultural Activities
We organize meetings and cultural celebrations to combat prejudices and foster the social interaction of a cohesive society. Our activities are open to everyone regardless of their origin, nationality and religion. We want to promote greater tolerance and mutual respect. Our club participates in exchanges with other nonprofit organizations, governmental and cultural institutions, and promoters.



Voluntary Camps
Our club is organized in cooperation with our international and Arabic-language camps in Morocco. We want to make a contribution to the cultural and social exchanges between nations and to contribute to the elimination of prejudice.

The organization was created and managed by youth. Therefore, young people are very encouraged to join us and participate in our local or international events. Furthermore, We urgently need skilled young professionals (from many disciplines) who are passionate about tackling human development to undertake our volunteer programs. Instead of sending food or money to developing countries, we send people from a wide range of professions who want the chance to make a real difference while learning new skills. Volunteers work in partnership with colleagues and communities to transfer know-how, share expertise and achieve positive change.
