dance4life is an innovative, interactive and positive international collaborative project
aimed at providing an opportunity and platform for young people to become more actively involved in pushing back HIV and AIDS. In the period 2003-2014, dance4life will involve at least one million young people as ‘agents of change’ in at least 34 countries all over the world. These agents of change will break silence, learn life-skills,raise money for local community AIDS prevention projects, mobilise civil society and
advocate towards their governments to keep their promises regarding the Millennium Development Goals. dance4life is the youth brand of the World AIDS Campaign, who’s theme is accountability with the slogan ‘Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise’.

The approach of dance4life covers all aspects of youth culture; their icons, their media,
and their favorite music and dance. Dancing is healthy, positive and already connecting
young people, all over the world. Through dance4life young people start to dance with a
cause....

The approach of dance4life covers all aspects of youth culture; their icons, their media,
and their favorite music and dance. Dancing is healthy, positive and already connecting
young people, all over the world. Through dance4life young people start to dance with a
cause. They learn by involvement and inspire companies, politicians, NGOs, artists and media to join. And the young participants inspire each other. During the dance4life Events – on the Saturday before World AIDS Day - all the young people present see each other via live internet and satellite connections, experiencing a strong feeling of unity in their collective right to health and their collective goal to push back HIV and AIDS. Despite the physical distance and cultural differences they will dance together, all
dressed in white, supporting the need for change.

Between now and 2014, dance4life aims to have created one million agents of change in at least 34 countries by actively involving large numbers of young people every year in in-depth schools4life and other prevention, awareness and fundraising activities. In 2014 this visible youth platform will make a last urgent call for action to all governments to keep their promises. dance4life also aims to have an ever-growing number of young people dancing simultaneously for life on the Saturday before World AIDS Day (every two years), each time reminding world leaders of the promises they made regarding the Millennium Development Goals.
