The Commission is an arm's length consultative forum that advises the Canadian Government on its relations with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and coordinates its activities in Canada.
Canada and the world face crucial challenges in working to build and maintain world peace. UNESCO provides an innovative way of addressing these issues through cooperation in education, the sciences, culture and communication. The Canadian Commission for UNESCO welcomes the input of Canadians in its discussions.
