About BYP: Bangladesh Youth Parliament is a platform of development for youth leaders across the country. This parliament will work for the development of the society and urge government to give youth leaders the chance to sit at the National Parliament of Bangladesh and talk about their respective districts. 1. The goal of the BYP is to foster amongst the youth of Bangladesh an understanding of, interest in, and engagement with the Bangladeshi democratic parliamentary process that would enable their active participation in society as responsible citizens. By doing so, BYP strives to encourage the growth of the individual and their abilities through their exposure to a diversity of ideas and perspectives and the fellowship of their peers. The primary method by which this goal shall be pursued is the annual operation by the parliament of at least one model parliament open to participation by all BYP selected youth aged eighteen to twenty seven.

BYP is open to all youth aged eighteen to twenty seven. As BYP is a youth led programme, youth is the heart of BYP. BYP is maintained and headed by youth leaders around Bangladesh, who are very energetic, skilled and dedicated to the development of the society.
