The name says it all. The aim to start Bachon Ka Akhbar is basically a mission:
A mission to be the voice of children.
A mission to present their views and thoughts.
A mission to unite them and educate them.
A mission to let children help the needy ones.
A mission to help those children who don’t have access to books and educational material.
We work at improving the reading, writing and understanding abilities of our future, which we want as bright.
Children are the future, and can often provide adults with a different, valuable perspective on a range of issues. Providing opportunities for them to access information and articulate their views in their own way is the integral to our work.

All children like to listen or read the tales of fairies and princes. A child has his/her own imaginary world which is full of joys and satisfaction. When a child reads or listens to a story he/she feels as though they are part of that colorful and imaginary world. They are familiarized with new words and things that no doubt improve their thinking, reading and writing skills.
Most importantly, they spend their time with great joy in a productive and educational activity.
Because some children often don't have enough money for new possessions that they can call their own, Bachon Ka Akhbar (BKA) is provided for free to these children and is sent to their given address. We have no doubt that seeing their printed name on a newspaper provides them with great pleasure, increases their confidence and encourages them to think and write more. We hope to also encourage youth to research the facts and figures for their writing material.
We are trying for:
• Building relationships
Creating opportunities for children to participate in community development. To ensure that children are properly represented in the development process, we work to raise awareness of children’s rights and also enhance their ability to reach their full potential. We have plans to organise children’s events in different villages. These included inter-village cricket matches, debates and story writing contests – all of which gave children the opportunity to showcase their abilities to parents, teachers and community members.
• Learning:
Helping children, youth and adults learn and develop life skills. Despite the fact that both the public and private sectors provide education services, the literacy rate in Pakistan is still relatively low at 49 per cent. It is even lower in rural communities. A study reveals that 85 percent of low-income families have no children's books in their homes. Other research report shows that 90 percent of Pre-school and after-school programs serving low-income children have no books.
The consequences of this early literary deprivation can be long-lasting. You can't teach a kid to play the piano without a piano, and you can’t teach a child to love books and be a reader without books and reading material.
So we believe that all children, young people and adults deserve access to learning and life skills that enable them to realize their potential.

Join Our Mission:
"Everyone has music in them. Only the talented have the ability
to share it with the rest of the world"
BKA is the only newspaper of its kind in Pakistan. With the aim of serving educational activities on grass root level in urban, less developed and rural areas of Pakistan through our newspaper.
The main purpose of the program is to improve reading, spelling and writing abilities of those school children who can't afford to buy extra reading material. BKA is dedicated to change in Pakistan by focusing on basic education in the belief that education is a critical requisite for socio-economic change.
In keeping with this focus, our volunteers are involved with and support projects that are secular and have an education-related component to them. The objectives of this BKA are:
1. To provide our newspaper to needy students and childs totally free of cost.
2. To encourage the formation of various local groups across the world to reach out to larger sections of the population.
3. To support and cooperate with persons and groups already engaged in similar activities.
4. To raise the required human and other resources to achieve the group objectives.
5. To provide opportunities to individuals living outside Pakistan who wish to participate in educational activities in Pakistan.
6. To address, whenever possible, other issues affecting children life such as health care, environment, child labour, socio-economic aspects and other issues
