Arquetopia is a non-profit foundation promoting development and social transformation through educational, artistic and cultural youth programs. The organization is unique with a contemporary, multidisciplinary and international approach in programs such as Art Academy, Artist-in-Residence, Public Art, Scholarships, and International Collaborations with artists, enterprises, various institutions and community-based organizations.

Goals:
1. To offer high-quality and accessible education in the arts, oriented to reinforce social, academic and critical thinking skills through the use of Spanish and English languages;
2. Youth mentoring, such as counseling to prevent domestic violence and to eliminate child exploitation or dangerous work for children as well as promoting education and professional training;
3. To support the development of the arts and artists especially considering the Recommendation concerning the Status of the Artist, approved by the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization on its twenty-first meeting session;
4. To promote human development, offering opportunities to favor the fulfillment of people’s potential considering the 1998 Report of the World Commission on Culture and Development, “Our Creative Diversity”;
5. To promote free participation of people in their community’s cultural life and to make the arts accessible for the joy and enjoyment of the participants;
6. To promote the organized participation of the population in actions to improve their own conditions of subsistence for the benefit of their community;
7. To promote diversity and the respect to differences considering UNESCO’s World Report, “Investing in Cultural Diversity and Intercultural Dialogue”;
8. To promote in every moment peace, tolerance and human rights, fight against the exclusion, racism and the elimination of inequalities between the sexes;
9. To support the defense and promotion of human rights by training, encouraging, mentoring and offering legal assistance in the subject of civil liberties —gender equality included— or any of the prerogatives inherent to the constitutional rights established in the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States;
10. To contribute to the enrichment of collective and individual identity;
11. To collaborate in building just societies through active participation in the community in agreement with the Agenda 21 for Culture;
12. To maintain and promote international cooperation in the field of culture especially in bilateral way with other nations around the world;
13. To promote and support music, visual arts, performing arts, dance, literature, architecture and cinematography, as well as to support education activities and artistic investigation related to such arts according to the Law that creates the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature, as well as the Federal Law of Cinematography in Mexico.

Students participating in the program are immersed in a process of broadening their options as future adults, getting access to high-quality instruction, developing professionalism and social awareness through artistic and cultural development in an international community.
Arquetopia works towards a positive impact in society through creative work with youth, generating a collective experience.
