Alternatives envisions a society where the practice of "one home, one enterprise" is prevalent. Alternatives is always trying to Findi new possibilities for youth as they are the engine of entrepreneurial development to bring positive change in their home, community and society.
1.YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM IN SCHOOL (YEPS)
The Youth Entrepreneurship Program in school (YEPS) is initiated by Alternatives to empower our youth to be the engine of entrepreneurship development. This program is a youth and school partnership program for promoting youth entrepreneurship culture in local schools amongst Pokhara. The program aims to create conducive environment for entrepreneurial education system which is encouraging school students to start, grow and shape their enterprises or initiatives from the school age. The program is focused on strengthening school students of different grades in entrepreneurial knowledge, skills and positive mind set up by empowering them to develop and operate school level extra curricular activities.
2.YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM (YETP)
The Youth Entrepreneurship Training Program is a three days program for college level Students where they are given real entrepreneurial knowledge and skills so that they can start their own venture in an innovative way. The Training encourages young people to enable the development and sustainability of youth owned enterprises in their home, college and community. The training also supports college students to know about the local community and resources which can be great support for beginning entrepreneurship.
3. GAUN GAUN MA UDDHYAM ABHIYAAN
Gaun Gaun Ma Uddhyam Abhiyaan is a philanthropic journey for youth entrepreneurial development in rural areas. We believe that the real development should be practiced from our rural areas.If we can utilize and capitalize our natural esources it will be enough to begin the real entrepreneurial Nepal.This program helps to empower youth of rural areas so that they can invest their energy, skill and productivity in their own country.Gaun Gaun Ma Uddhyam is initiated with the aim of One Village; One Entrepreneurship Development Centre which envisions every individual can fulfill basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, education, health, human rights, freedom and suitable environment to develop one's ability and personality with the help of his own enterprise which become a real factor to alleviate poverty.
4. E-TALKS:
E-talks is an interactive forum to make youth aware about entrepreneurial development and to discuss on different political, social, civic, business and economic issues with the local and national level expertise. The program's aim is to provide common platform where knowledge, skills and experience are shared and motivate youth for positive social action.
5. YOUTH LEADERSHIP AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING (YLVT):
Alternatives strongly believe that youth are not just leaders of tomorrow but the partners of today. It also conducts leadership and vocational training in rural and urban areas. This main objective of the program is to provide leadership knowledge and skills for young people.
6. YOUTH VOLUNTEERISM AND INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (YVIP):
To develop the feeling of service and patriotism, it is a pragmatic idea to work as a volunteer. Youths imparting some of their knowledge and skills philanthropically to the required groups can be a good culture. To develop the working spirit and professionalism, we can conduct internship programs in the related fields so that it can aid in personality enhancement widening the scope of career for the youths.
7. RURAL YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SUPPORTING PROGRAM:
Doing things differently is important than doing different things. We conduct different resource collection program, fund raising activities, donation campaign, school campaign which aids to the supporting of development of RYEDC in different areas of our work regions. Involving youths entrepreneurially in their locality is our main focus.
8. YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS CAMPAIGN (YEAC):
A well aware person has an easy access to most of the successes .Making youths aware about the prospects of the entrepreneurship is a major aspect. We just don’t concern the definition; but what actually is possible in the locality with the available resources is our major concern. For this we do different awareness campaign in schools, colleges and mass. This definitely helps in generating a large mass of probable entrepreneurs and well wishers.
9. YOUTH SKILL EXCHANGE PROGRAM (YSEP):
Youth Skill Exchange Program targets specifically at-risk and marginalized youth of rural areas, dealing with a wide range of specific issues, such as vulnerability to HIV/AIDS, drug dependency, teenage pregnancy. Youth in rural areas are more restricted than their urban peers in terms of access to and choice of education, training and employment opportunities. This program attempt to achieve their aims within a holistic framework of self-empowerment or self-reliance, and they usually build on a livelihoods approach as well as training for self-employment or enterprise creation

To make youth partner in alleviating poverty, unemployment relevant in the country and also make youth stand to promote and protect environment and tourism development process.
