The AIDS Action Committee provides a variety of programs and services in three primary areas: client services, prevention and education, and public policy. The agency also sponsors or collaborates in many events that are designed to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS.
Each year, thousands of people receive direct services through the agency's client services department. These services include: case management, housing, legal advocacy, transportation, and emotional support.
The prevention and education department provides a range of programs designed to reduce the number of new HIV infections and help persons already infected maintain their health. Our programs work with many different communities, including gay men, communities of color, women, and youth.
Our public policy department advocates for fair and compassionate laws and health care policies that affect people living with AIDS and HIV. All of our policy efforts include the work of committed volunteers.
