Our mission at the Africa Youth is that trust is to harness the productive energies of youth towards peace, equity and prosperity within and across communities in Africa.

Youth Led Development (YLD) is about young people making a living and future for themselves and their communities, and involves Economic and Social investments such as business start-ups and community improvement projects, devised and managed by young people.

Investing in YLD on a nationwide and, or even regional basis, can positively transform regions on a large scale.
The impact of tens of thousands of young people becoming engaged in hundreds of projects – many of them income-generating – will inject enthusiasm through all sectors, stimulating a complete societal transformation.
And such is the nature of Youth-Led Development, which puts young people at the forefront of these processes; cultivating the way we synthesize and share ideas, as well as our approach to problem-solving.
