1. To serve as the representatives of Nigerian Youth, defend and to speak on their behalf.
2. To establish AYHD ASSOCIATES at various age levels (i.e. children, adolescents and adults) in every facet of our national life.
3. Provide youth with professional and skills that are in demand in targeted communities
4. Foster cultural understanding among youth from different backgrounds through workshops and leadership camps
5. To organize awareness campaigns against corruption and other vices affecting the well-being of the youth.
6. To increase our knowledge of the extent of the level of youths’ awareness of their rights and responsibility and its determinant with a view to designing new or better approaches.
7. Through capacity building, advocacy and research ensure that youths are aware of their expected roles in the society.
8. To network with other NGOs with similar objectives at local and international levels.
9. To assist individuals and youths groups who are embarking on projects that have positive effects on our future leaders.
10. To educate and enlighten young people on their right to participate in the formulation of public policy, particularly where it directly affects their lives and their future.

Professional and Skills Development: We organise Entrepreneurship and Business Development, NGO Management, Volunteerism Skills trainings in order to enable youths’ gain the skills they need to obtain employment or create new employment opportunities. Participants in our trainings also receive life skills training covering health, peacebuilding, human rights education, gender related education.
Youth Sports and Leadership Camps: We organise Youth Sports and Leadership Camps bringing together vulnerable youth from different backgrounds to participate in an innovative program that fosters cross-cultural communication and understanding, strengthens leadership skills, and promotes active civic participation. It is penitent to state here that sports still remains one of the things that bring unity in Nigeria.
Youth Trainings: AYHD conducts training workshops for youth from Nigeria. We conduct trainings on a range of topics including conflict mitigation, human rights education, civic education, community mobilization, and financial literacy for youth across the nation.
Parade and Awareness Campaign: We organise from time to time awareness campaigns in order to enlighten our youths and supporters on the latest strategies in youth activism. We do this through the commitment of our volunteers who are mostly members of National Youths Service Corps (NYSC).
