Our activities involve volunteers around the country in public campaigns, debates, seminars, trainings, preventive actions, clean public places, beaches, and others.
Usually we open our programs for research
students.
HISTORY
1. In July of 1999, it creates a cabinet of work with the council of the Matola City, salubrity department that came to select and to recycle the garbage.
2. In September of the same year and narrow coordination with this city counting on the support of the UNIDO (United Nations Industrial development organizations) promoted and executed the process of garbage retraction in the quarters of difficult access of the Autarchy of the Matola.
3. In December of 1998 in coordination still City council of the Matola, carried through the first seminary for consolidation of youth associative movement of the Matola.
4. In December of 1996, through the JODESE, with the foundation Friedrich Ebert, it prepares and it presents a communication on the paper of the youthful associations in the protection and preservation of the environment in discusses of youth in the North, in the city of Nampula.
5. In December of the same year the ACOORD carries through two youthful courses of qualification of controllers, technician and entertainers, in two cities of the province of Inhambane that counted on the participation of district Directors of the Culture and Youth of that province, for beyond of leads of youthful associations.
6. In 2001, in the city of the Matola and coordination with the School of secondary education it developed an appointed program Xiluva Matola with SKILL, in the scope of the activities of sensitization in the fight against the HIV/SIDA in contribution with PSI-Jeito.
7. In 2003/2004 it works with the MONASO in the activities of Lobby and Advocacy for the creation of the law that defends the People Living with the AIDS in Mozambique.
8. Of 16 the 18 of October of 2004, more than carried through in partnership with the FUNAB days of cleanness in the beach of the coast of the Sun, allusive to the anniversary of the FUNAB with participation of 250 participants.
9. In partnership with the City council of the City of Maputo, Municipal Direction of the parks and Gardens, carried through of the 30 of October 2 of November of 2004 a great day of cleanness in the beach of Coast of the Sun involving boys of street, Aged, Young, technician municipal, etc. This work was made daily.
10. In the scope of partnership TVM/ACOORD for the accomplishment of public debates on the pandemic of the HIV/SIDA, 1º carried through its debate in day 4 of December of 2004 in partnership with the CNCS city of Maputo. The debate had as subject Women, Women’s teenagers and AIDS.
11. In 2004 ACOORD helped 2 Sweden’s students in research for they master thesis. The thesis was about HIV/AIDS and ACOORD opened the doors of they programs for these students.
12. Currently are developing program in partnership with UNICEF, providing information for children about aids in Inhambane province.
13. In 2005 ACOORD represented Mozambique at world youth congress in Scotland and currently are divulgating the policy document created by youngs delegates at the congress.
14. In 2005 organized the social solidarity programs for people affected by natural disasters in Inhambane Province, providing foods and clothes in 5 districts.
The other point was cultural activities to rescue the hope for the people.
For they beyond of this debate, already more debates had been carried through as the case of the reflection of the situation of the Children Vulnerable Orphans and in the context of the HIV/AIDS;
The case of the process of the integration of the carrying of deficiency person in programs of HIV and AIDS.
Since its creation, the members of the ACOORD, have participated in diverse shares of formation and qualification in the areas of management of NGOs, environment and sustainable development, the communitarian, prevention and combat to HIV and AIDS participation, prevention and combat the drugs.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY IN MOZAMBIQUE
The ACOORD (Association of Cooperation for Development) is youth organization created to incentive the youth dynamic involving volunteer participation in cooperation initiatives for development.
Currently ACOORD is planning work camp in rural areas from Mozambique with general objective to involve Youngs in achievement of the first millennium development goal: “eradicate the extreme hunger and poverty”.
For the current year, it is planned to organize 4 work camps in Inhambane Province, one of the poorest province in Mozambique.
The work camps will take place in Funhalouro, Inhassouro and Panda districts, and will involve participation of youth volunteers from ACOORD, other Mozambican NGOs, local communities and foreigner’s volunteers.
