By taking concrete action that contributes to the global effort to end the HIV/AIDS pandemic, the McGill Global AIDS Coalition brings together McGill students concerned about the state of the world, eager to learn, and ready to make a difference.

MGAC implements Students Against Global AIDS’ national campaigns in the McGill community. SAGA’s campaigns focus on two main objectives. First, they encourage Canadian and international institutions to take action on the global AIDS pandemic and to address the social, political, economical, and medical determinants of the pandemic. Second, they raise awareness in Canada about the pandemic. Every year, MGAC organizes speaker events, a candle-light vigil for World AIDS Day, petition drives and letter writing campaigns, teach-ins, and other events.

MGAC is a non-hierarchical organization - always open to new ideas, initiatives, and leaders. We thrive on the skills of our members. No matter what you do, there is a place for you at MGAC. We need organizers, paper-pushers, number-crunchers, artists, visionaries, techies, and so on.
