Young Peace Brigades is please to announce volunteer opportunities for qualified candidates to have some volunteer work at its projects sites in the Central Region in Dunkwa-On-Offin in Ghana and in Southern Cameroun.
These posts are the Young Peace Brigades window of hope Volunteer Programme on health, education and human rights and based on the values of free will, commitment, engagement and solidarity, which are the foundations of volunteerism. Volunteering brings benefit to the individual volunteer. It makes important contributions, economically, as well as socially. It contributes to creating social cohesion and capital, through helping to build trust and reciprocity among citizens.
Vision: to create a supportive environment for the survival and the development of communities in Ghana and Cameroun. YPB works side-by-side, organizes and assists communities to get together and strive for better conditions and a better life for all.
YPB follows the concept of partnership for sustainable development and works through committed volunteers, members of the community, and partner organizations to ensure capacity building whenever necessary for effective and efficient service delivery. YPB also focuses on advocacy on contemporary development issues as well as adopting a rights-based approach to community development.
What is the Window of Hope volunteer programme?
Window of Hope is a project sponsored by Young Peace Brigades to promote education opportunities and community economic development opportunities with a special focus on children, youth, and women through volunteerism. The programme engages volunteers in classrooms, health personnel to provide health care to rural communities, providing training on youth development and Developing and implementing strategic program towards development of rural women.
