The aim of the Bob Marley Foundation is to become charitably involved within the community, the country and internationally, wherever the need is greatest.
The main objective of the Foundation however, is to reach others in need, through love and brotherhood.

From its incorporation in 1986, the Foundation has donated financially and culturally to various local organizations that share the vision of the Honorable Robert Marley O.M.
The foundation shall continue to pursue the direction of a charitable organization in its operations and aim to fulfill all the requirements provided by the Jamaican government in its policy on such organizations.
The Foundation manages its affairs by planning, promoting and implementing various activities such as art exhibitions, film festivals, workshops for cultural developments, and talent search programs. Bob Marley week, which celebrates Bob's birthday locally, is one of the major events planned by the Foundation in collaboration with the Jamaica Tourist Board and J.C.D.C.
The foundation carries out its responsibilities through entities such as the the Museum (which houses a theatre and gallery), a Library, gift shops and a unique African restaurant, Queen of Sheba. The update of modern technological equipment to streamline the operation of the Foundation is an ongoing process.
