03. We urge the free movement of people and goods and the exchange
of opinions across frontiers
04. We attach supreme importance to personal freedoms and civil
liberties
05. We recognise private ownership and the rule of law to be basic
institutions in a civilised society
06. We believe in democracy as an open and constantly developing
political system, in which the interests of the individual and those
of society at large are reconciled on the basis of the principles of
freedom and equality
07. We believe in an open society, characterised by a constant
competition and interaction between ideas and parties.
08. We are for Ukraine’s joining the European Union and NATO.
Among the main principles of our activity are as follows:
01. Revival of supremacy of law and democracy in the country,
ensuring a real keeping of civil freedoms;
02. Protection of entrepreneur and creative initiative from the
bureaucrats, tax and police pressure;
03. Ensuring of civil control on the executive organs mainly police, army
and special service;
04. Implementation of the European political principles and principles of
law.

What does the organization do?
In October 1993, Young Rukh was founded as the organization of the People's Movement of Ukraine (Rukh). The organizers and participants of the famous students strike became its founders.

In October 1993, Young Rukh was founded as the organization of the People's Movement of Ukraine (Rukh). The organizers and participants of the famous students strike became its founders.
In 1999 the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine registered Young Rukh as the All Ukrainian Youth Public Organization.
Nowadays Young Rukh actively works in all 24 regions of Ukraine and the Republic of Crimea.
Since the day of the foundation Young Rukh has been actively involved in the political life of Ukraine. Elections 1998 proved to be more successful for Young Rukh. 12 members of Young Rukh ran for the Parliament lawmakers and more than 250 of them - for the Councilors of the City Councils. Leader of the organization Vyacheslav Kyrylenko was elected Member of Parliament of Ukraine. He was appointed Secretary of the Parliamentary Committee on the Social Policy and Labor. Members of Young Rukh became the Councilors in Kyiv, Zhytomezh, Rivno, Poltava, Lviv and some other cities, regional and district councils of Ukraine. They took prominent positions in the commissions and executive self- governmental institutions.
On a regular basis Young Rukh holds the round tables, seminars and scientific-practical conferences on political and social issues. “The problems of the reformation of higher educational, Basic aspects of the youth legislation, "Strategy and tactics of electoral campaign", "Ukraine on the way to Europe. Ukraine - European choice" are among the biggest.
In March 2001 Young Rukh became one of the founders of the All Ukrainian Public Committee Ukraine European choice. The Chairman of Young Rukh Vyacheslav Kyrylenko was elected as Executive Secretary of the Committee.
Young Rukh became one of the founders of the All Ukrainian Coalition of Youth Our Ukrainean in October 2001. It was created to support the electoral Block of Victor Yushchenko Our Ukrainean. An active participation of 27 all-Ukrainian youth organizations, united into the Coalition, played an important role when the Yushchenkoas Block got the majority of the votes at the parliamentary elections 2002 23.5%. Today the Coalition Our Ukrainean has the biggest faction in the Parliament 102 seats. The Chairman of Young Rukh, Co-Head of the Coalition of Youth Our Ukrainean was reelected as Member of Parliament.
In 1995 Young Rukh initiated the foundation of the All Ukrainian youth festival Pearls of seasonl which has being held on a free basis both for the participants and spectators. Today it is one of the most popular shows in Ukraine.
Concerts, shows, discos, football and chess tournaments became an integral part of Young Rukh's life. Every summer the members of the organization have an opportunity to rest in the scientific and rest camps in the Carpathian Mountains and in Crimea.
