Our work is grounded in the Christian theological principle that all human beings are created in the image and likeness of God, hence, are deserving of the dignity and respect accorded them by their birthright. PROJECT HOPE believes that all people have a right to adequate shelter, basic health care and educational opportunities. The Organization exercises a special commitment to the youths, who are leaders of tomorrow, the poor and the elderly. Project Hope exists for the purpose of crowning Christ as King through evangelism, preaching and teaching God’s Word, worship and prayer.
Project Hope is pursuing the dream of reaching and, by the power of the Spirit of God, taking over families, neighborhoods and cities in Nigeria and Africa at large, and transforming them into places that fulfill the creative intention of God in Christ. It is our plan to enlist the full armor of God through prayer, fasting, evangelism and powerful spirit filled gatherings in which believers are anointed by God to take over their communities for Christ. In Project Hope, we share the Word of God to the youths; provide “Bread for the hungry” as well as hope and encouragement to the vulnerable in our midst. Our work includes provision of qualitative Christian education to young people, Building the capacities of young people, thus equipping them for the challenges of tomorrow which is theirs, forming sustainable networking channels, research and documentation, advocacy, production and distribution of Christian literature. In Project Hope, our conviction is lived out in very practical terms. We study and experience God’s Word, and in the light of the experiences, address particular human existential situations. We are prophets committed to the task of “preparing a highway for our coming Lord” (Isaiah 40:3-5, Matt.3:3, Mk.1:2-3, Lk.3:4, John 1:19-23).

Organisational structure:

Project Hope is run by a governing council, a board of trustees, a management board as well as patrons and matrons. the governing council is the highest decision – making body of project hope. the council meets once annually. the board of trustees, headed by a chairman, is made up of christians who have demonstrated a high sense of faith, prayer and proven integrity of behaviour. the trustees meet twice annually to discuss progress of project hope. the management board is headed by the executive director and is responsible for the overall well being and smooth functioning of the organization. membership of the management board includes all heads of the various units of project hope, including program managers, accountant and legal advisers. the management board meets quarterly every year and at other times as situations demand. minutes of the meetings of the management board are circulated to all members of the governing council and the board of trustees as well as the patrons and matrons of the organization. by this and various other means, a harmonious and cordial working relationship, in an atmosphere of love and trust, has been established. experienced, matured and disciplined christians are appointed by the management board, in consultation with the governing council, as patrons and matrons. they act as spiritual fathers and mothers, and provide moral advice and support to the management board for the purpose of the smooth running of the organization. in the appointment of patrons and matrons, emphasis is placed on integrity, faith and strength of character rather on the wealth or social status of the individuals.
