What is Drama Way?
Drama - a way to social inclusion (Drama Way) -project is partly funded by the European Union Socrates Joint actions program. The project started in 2002 and concludes in the end of 2004.
The coordinator of the project is University of Turku, Centre for Extension Studies from Finland. The partners are MTÜ VAT Teater from Tallinn, Estonia, BAAL-17 from Serpa, Portugal and Forn de Teatre Pa`tothom from Barcelona, Spain.

MISSION
Drama Way explores the multiple ways drama and theatre can be used to help young people towards social inclusion. It experiments with various cultural activities on the edge of formal and informal education. Drama is not just art for arts sake or a school subject. It is active creation of alternative futures and identities by the young people themselves. In Drama Way we develop our skills and methods to serve the needs of young people better.
TO WHOM?
The project, workshops and produced material is useful to students and practitioners of
youth, social, socio-cultural work,
education in primary and secondary schools,
health and therapy work,
theatre and drama,
administrators and sponsors.
COUNTRIES
Drama way tackles the challenges in the countryside villages of Portugal, modern city of Barcelona in Spain, young people around Estonia, and towns and countryside of South- Western Finland.
