OBJECTIVES
- Make people aware of the rights of the child and protect them through education as prescribed by UN convention on the rights of the child
- Assist the needy child irrespective of tribe, origin, sex or religion in the domain of social welfare
- Assist in eliminating child labour, sexual exploitation and female genital mutilation
- Assist children in confinement like prisons and rehabilitation institutions
- Monitor human rights and abuse against the child
- Promote health and education
ACTIVITIES
- Visits to community, social and health centres, hospitals to assist the needy child
- Elimination and rehabilitation of the child laboure
- Organisation of symposiums, workshops and education via (radio, television, newspaper) and orally in rural areas through chiefs and elite on the rights of the child and to combat juvenile delinquency
- CAPEC has devised campaigns, in collaboration with other associations to fight a common course on the protection of the child.
