Every ASA program is designed to bring together a talented group of students, staff and faculty with the common goal of creating a challenging, exciting and rewarding summer experience. The combined energy, creativity and enthusiasm of each community is ASA's formula for an unprecedented summer of learning, fun and personal growth. ASA students are offered a wide variety of programs to choose from and in turn a variety of academic options and recreational and social opportunities. Each ASA student is given support and the appropriate level of structure and is asked to make his or her own decisions about free time and social opportunities. This opportunity to make decisions within a structured and caring environment allows students to reach new levels of personal achievement. ASA programs provide a well-considered blueprint for a successful summer but the choices made by each individual student are what make every ASA experience uniquely positive and rewarding.

ASA pre-college programs offer students the opportunity to live and study on some of the world's finest university campuses and get a true taste of college life. ASA language study programs in France and Spain emphasize cultural and linguistic immersion to provide a deep understanding of the host country.

ASA programs are designed with students in mind. ASA strives to foster a summer community of learning that allows to students to gain confidence, independence and individual responsibility. ASA will provide the blueprint for a successful summer as well as guidance along the way. However, it is the choices and decisions made by the students and the opportunity to tailor the program to specific needs that truly makes an ASA summer a success no matter which location you choose.

ASA students come from 39 different states and 19 different countries and we like to think that we have something for everyone. Through 18 years of experience in designing programs and by speaking to parents, students and faculty, ASA is constantly striving to make improvements to keep ASA programs exciting and attractive. A tradition of academic excellence, expert and supportive faculty and staff, careful supervision, an exciting activities program and the widest choices for weekend excursions have helped to prepare generations of ASA students for college and beyond.
