The AAWORD is a pan-african non-governmental, non-profit making and apolitical organization. It aims to analyse and transform gender relations and social conditions in Africa, to build a powerful african women's movement, and to bring forth african women's contribution to sustainable and democratic development.
The young women and leadership program aims to initiate young girls to research and reinforce their capacities.

What does the organization do?
The AAWORD carries out of studies on women's gender related problems and achievement of conscientization and advocacy actions. It launches training sessions on research methodologies, gender, advocacy techniques and other themes.
