Globe is a German non-governmental organization founded in Berlin in 1999 as an association of international NGO-experienced economists, lawyers, social scientists, and economic-engineers, with the main objective to arrange and to support cultural, social, social-economical and ecological and human rights co-operation projects between European countries and developing countries especially countries of the Near & Middle East and Africa.
The association’s objective is to support international understanding and development cooperation and in addition vocational training.
globe is trying to make people and organizations meet – especially when their origin, their culture is different. They might come from totally different sectors like arts, sciences, economy and politics.

Globe’s activities refer to a number of countries of different development levels and structures. By co-operating with other non-governmental organizations and foundations on a project-to-project basis, globe’s work is aimed at pursuing the following goals:
• Establishing and developing the legal basis for founding, registering and running NGOs
• Introducing modern methods of managing and administrating NGOs
• Setting up efficient organizational structures
• Improving the financial basis, and finance and accounting procedures of NGOs
• Improving the work, role and acceptance of NGOs by setting up local, regional and international networks
• Developing and improving co-operation patterns with governmental organizations and administrations
• Supporting cooperation on aid programs between NGOs and international donors and aid organisations.
Furthermore, globe collaborates with a variety of German and European organisations working in different sectors and utilises their specific skills and experience for providing counselling services and professional inputs to projects in third countries.
To accomplish the goals described above, Globe, among others, carries out the following activities:
• Conceptual development and implementation of projects in the fields of activity referred to above
• Organization of international conferences and seminars;
• Comparative research on conditions and factors influencing the work and development of NGOs
• Establishing counselling service centres for NGOs

Globe is planning a joint exchange programme for the beginning of 2005 on "Youth employment and Youth Enterprises" between organisations from Turkey, Egypt, Jordan and Germany.
Globe has several expirience in counselling and teaching young entrepreneurs in Berlin.
