Children have the right to be fed and clothed and sheltered and educated by their parents. When parents are unable or refuse to do this then society must intervene. Bruce Organisation exists to feed, clothe and educate children who have been let down by their parents.

Across Latin America, Bruce Organisation works to get child labourers and street children into education. We do this by teaching uneducated children to the level of that of those their own age. We then place them and support them as they enter into a national school. At the same time, we have a number of other projects running. We have Arriba Ya! – a micro finance project that encourages very poor mothers to start small businesses. When we have the right volunteers we also run free medical clinics in the poorest areas or have small dental clinics for the children in our schools. Bruce Organisation has a number of centres all the way from Panama down to Venezuela but the centres that thrive the most are in Trujillo and Cuzco where we have teams of international volunteers working with our longer-term local teachers. With a constant turnaround of volunteers, we are inundated with fresh ideas and fresh energy. Our volunteers come from all four corners of the globe, are of all ages and with all different levels of skills and experience to help in our various projects.
