ENO is a global web school for environmental awarness. The program is running throughout the school year on a weekly basis. School year is divided to four different environment themes. Students have online and offline activities weekly and they send information about their local environment to ENO website. All information is summarized as learning material available to schools and anybody interested.
There are currently 130 ENO classes in 52 countries involving 3500 young people from 12 to 18 years old. In addition to the youth, ENO connects about 300 teachers.
The main idea is to lay emphasis on local environment and see it in the global aspect: act locally, think globally.
In the ENO framework, ICTs are a great way to make networks (schools, teachers and students) in spite of locations and enables them to transfer knowledge and interact
The ENO Twinning Programme links 25 African schools with schools outside Africa.
