What we are about is the business of changing the entire paradigm by which not-for-profits operate and generate the capital they need to carry out their mission -- a new paradigm based on sustainability and social entrepreneurship.

We are the only membership organization devoted exclusively to building sustainable nonprofits through earned income strategies. We accomplish this through a network connecting entrepreneurial nonprofits with learning opportunities, technical assistance and resources to further their efforts. [ view more ]

We are the only membership organization devoted exclusively to building sustainable nonprofits through earned income strategies. We accomplish this through a network connecting entrepreneurial nonprofits with learning opportunities, technical assistance and resources to further their efforts.

Our members are predominantly nonprofit practitioners and grantmakers, but include technical consultants, for-profit businesses and academics as well. Our practitioner members range from early stage entrepreneurs seeking the nuts and bolts knowledge to start and run an earned income activity to well-established practitioners seeking an opportunity to exchange ideas with other leaders of the field.

Social Enterprise Alliance links nonprofit executives who have operated in isolation with an ongoing forum for addressing the needs and concerns of the enterprising nonproft.
