The conferences, held every two years, provide a snapshot on developments in national youth service initiatives around the globe.
The Secretariat of IANYS is based in the country which is hosting the next global conference on national youth service. The most recently-held conference was the 6th Global Conference on National Youth Service, Argentina, 3-5 September 2002, organised by Prof. Maria Nieves Tapia de Basilico, Buenos Aires Secretary of Education.
