Mission/Vision
Chalice proclaims Christ's loving care for the poor and suffering by inspiring our Catholic community to support local initiatives in developing countries, primarily through the sponsorship of children and elderly in need.
What does the organization do?
Chalice is currently supporting over 37,000 children in 41 Sponsor Sites in 15 developing countries. Chalice places special emphasis on helping to provide children with the chance to go to school and learn. We believe that education is a key to breaking the cycle of poverty.

There are many ways for Canadian Youth to get involved and support Chalice's activities in the developing world.
Many schools are participating in our "Christmas Smiles" and "Pocket Change for Change" programmes, which raises money to sponsor a child, or provide food for children in need.
Many young individuals are also challenging themselves and participating in our "Cycling for Children" fundraising bicycle tours. In 2008, five 2-day tours will be held in four different provinces. Cyclists who participate agree to raise $500 in donations to support Chalice's mission in the developing world.
