AfNA is an alliance of young, dynamic and positive thinking intellectuals from tertiary institutions in Ghana who are committed to seeing Africa as a self-supporting region through transformational leadership. Upon deep reflections on the perplexities of the continent and through wider consultations with individuals and organizations that share these views, AfNA is developing well thought-out initiatives, systems and structures to help in filling existing developmental gaps in Ghana and within the whole of Africa.

AfNA’s ultimate target is to:
1. Develop in young people the needed skills and character for transformational leadership;
2. Inculcate in young people the African pride;
3. Create a pool of young and solution-focused technologists and entrepreneurs;
4. Link up with relevant national, regional and global bodies in addressing the challenges of the continent;
5. Develop systems and structures targeted at achieving the vision of the organization.
Specific objectives that would be pursued in achieving the above goals are:
1. To organize capacity building conferences, seminars and workshops for the youth and youth groups on leadership in Ghana and within Africa;
2. To undertake study tours to successful organizations and business entities in order to understudy their on-site leadership styles;
3. To create a platform where the youth would be mentored by successful and highly effective leaders;
4. To organize fora for young people to discuss and explore what can inspire and sustain the African pride;
5. To have a well-defined organizational structure;
6. To establish a world class training centre to systematically develop young minds for effective leadership;
7. To collaborate with the UN and other relevant bodies to undertake projects within our mission;
8. To establish a scientific village as a flagship for young people to commit themselves to scientific and technological research.
