Most recently the First Nations planetarium which has been travelling to schools with Wilfred Buck and Ron Hallock got a change to the interior of the planetarium. The First Nations constellations have been accentuated in detail. It is very striking and of course pertains to the legends and songs shared in the teachings.
The other initiative that the science specialists have been busy with is the seventh annual First Nations Science Fair & Science Symposium.

Another event which is up and coming is Lighting the Fire. It will take place at the Victoria Inn Hotel & Convention Centre, Winnipeg, May 20-22nd, 2009. As always there will be the Student Essay Contest , the Maria Ross Awards Banquet, First Night Youth Performance, and a workshops throughout the three days.
